Santillana is active in the production of Spanish-language textbooks throughout Spain and Latin America.
Ever since its first foray into the world of educational publishing, Santillana has been synonymous with quality, innovation and service to teachers and schools.
Our editorial teams have become skilled at interpreting the needs of different educational situations and at formulating responses tailored to the different circumstances (development of the educational system, curricula, teaching habits, etc.) for each moment and each country.
Four years ago, we began building a common project: a place that would become a safe haven amid the changes being ushered in by the new education law, the House of Knowledge Project.
We have now opened the doors of that house, and we are setting out to explore new pathways and new horizons, because opening up new routes in keeping with our commitment to education. With Pathways to Knowledger, Santillana, explores new publishing territory in response to the continuously changing world in which we live.
In the field of education in Spain, in 2007 Santillana launched La Casa del Saber (the House of Knowledge) project, the first step on what is now Los Caminos del Saber (The Pathways of Knowledge), a new publishing initiative adapted to the world we live in.
Santillana currently develops, in all those countries where we operate, digital educational content and services that place us at the forefront of educational innovation. New content ranges from the development of activities for the digital blackboard (PDI), interactive games, and e-PDFs to iPhone, iPad and tablet apps. Two of the most important Santillana projects in the field of ICT in the classroom are Libroweb and the Teaching System UNO and Santillana Compartir.
